A belated new year to everyone, the light nights are fast approaching as is the Bristol & District league season, I would like to thank clubs for getting their subscriptions and fixtures to the league secretary and match secretary fairly quickly this year although as usual there were a couple of exceptions. Can I just also mention that this coming weekend (Easter Monday at Knowle 2 p.m.) Knowle our league champions play Minchinghampton the north of the county league champions in the annual challenge. We hope that Knowle can bring back the shield as Henbury did last year, we wish them all the best, also if anyone which to support this event I am sure they would welcome your support. The return is to be at Minchinghampton on the 30th March 1 p.m. We are also pleased to announce that BAKER TILLY are again sponsoring the Bristol & District Golf league this season, and my personal thanks go to them for their continued support. Could I please remind all team captains to get their results to Alan Shore as soon as possible, so he can get the results checked and on the web-site also it keep the league tables up to date. A reminder to all team captains that the annual High/Low competition at Tall Pines is Saturday May 10th I wish all clubs a pleasant and enjoyable season and let’s hope the weather in the early part of the season is kinder to us all Richard Bennett League Chairman March 2008 |
